The Albert Hotel

Airbnbs
or stayz.com.au and booking.com.au
There are plenty of great Airbnbs around Manly and Freshwater. If you’re unsure about location, we’re happy to take a look at any Airbnbs you’re eying and tell you our thoughts!
short stay, close to the venue
If you’re only planning on staying a few nights, stick to Freshwater. This is where the wedding venue is. It’s close to a great beach, plus has a good local selection of cafes and restaurants.
Longer stay, close to it all
If you’re staying for more than a couple of nights, we recommend Manly. This is where we live! It’s still quite close to the venue, plus there’s the beach, cafes, shops. You can easily take a ferry into the city to explore Sydney (ferries dock right next to the Opera House). Note: there are some hilly bits, as you get towards North Head and Fairlight.
Longer stay, happy to drive
If you’re staying for a few days and will have a car then try Curl Curl for something close to a quieter beach, or Balgowlah and Fairlight for a leafy harbourside stay. These suburbs will be less expensive than Manly.
fit and keen for a view
Queenscliff can be a great option, it’s walking distance to both Manly and Freshwater but it’s very hilly. If you’re cool with steps then you might find a bargain with a fantastic view here.
⚠️
Please note that many houses in Sydney don’t have air conditioning. If this is a must for you, please check the Airbnb listing closely.
Getting around
TAXIS & Uber
Ubers are easy to get anywhere in Australia. However, they can’t take children that need a car seat in NSW.
If you have a baby and need a car seat, some taxis have car seats, or book BubsTaxi in advance, especially great for an airport transfer.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Sydney has excellent public transport. You can explore the city by train, ferry, light rail. They’re all safe, clean, and reliable.
You could even take a bus to the ceremony if you wanted!
CAR
Street parking for non-residents can be tricky, especially in Manly. If you’re hiring a car or driving, make sure your accommodation includes parking or at least offers a parking permit for the street.
